Cyber Security Courses 2022
1. (ISC)2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
The (ISC)2’s CCSP is the most well-known and well-established cloud protection qualification. While (ISC)2’s CISSP package now provides more cloud-related content, the advanced CCSP software goes much further and covers a wide variety of cloud-related subjects, from cloud service security to cloud network security.
Students should have to devote a significant amount of time to passing this test or use a preparation vendor to study for it.
Until being eligible, candidates must have a minimum of five years of paying work experience. Three years must be spent in information management, and one year must be spent in one or more of the CCSP Common Body of Knowledge’s six domains (CBK)
(1) Cloud Concepts, Architecture and Design. (2) Cloud Data Security. (3) Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Security. (4) Cloud Application Security. (5) Cloud Security Operations. (6) Legal, Risk and Compliance.
2. CSA Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge
The CSA’s CCSK certification is a less rigors version of the CCSP. This credential, which was first offered in 2010, is focused on cloud protection and, like the CCSP, delves into the technical specifics.
There are a few important variations between CCSP and CCSK. The CBK for CCSK, for example, is not as wide as it is for CCSP. The CCSK research materials, which are based on three things; (1) the CSA Cloud Protection Guidance v4. (2) The CSA Cloud Controls Matrix. (3) The EU Agency for Cybersecurity Cloud Computing Risk Assessment report.
They are all freely available on the internet, so no books or training courses are necessary. CCSK certification therefore has no prerequisites or skill criteria.
3. GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA)
The GCSA certification, which will be available in April 2022, is planned for developers, researchers, and engineers who work in cloud and DevOps environments. It addresses subjects including configuration management automation, continuous integration and/or delivery, and reporting, as well as how to use open source software, the AWS toolchain, and Azure services.
The GIAC qualification has no prerequisites, but it is based on the SANS Institute’s SEC540: Cloud Security and DevOps Automation course, which can be taken in person or online. This five-day workshop is divided into five sections:
(1) Introduction to DevSecOps. (2) Cloud Infrastructure and Orchestration. (3) Cloud Security Operations. (4) Cloud Security as a Service. (5) Compliance as Code
4. Mile2 Certified Cloud Security Officer (C)CSO)
Mile2 provides a five-day C)CSO certification programme that includes instructor-led workshops, self-study time, and live simulated trainings. The C)CSO is made up of 15 modules on the course.
It also includes 23 laboratories, including Virtual Machine Hardening, Azure PaaS, and SaaS Key Management.
This advanced credential, which is part of Mile2’s Cloud Management and Virtualization career roadmap, is suitable for professionals involved in virtualization, cloud governance, auditing, and compliance.
It is recommended that you have a general understanding of cloud architectures and at least one year of experience in virtualization and general information security.
5. Arcitura Certified Cloud Security Specialist
Several Cloud Certified Professional (CCP) certifications are available from Arcitura. The company’s Certified Cloud Protection Specialist programme focuses on the security risks involved with cloud systems.
Secondly, it also has cloud applications, and other technology innovations including virtualization. The Certified Cloud Protection Specialist credential is divided into five modules and is aimed at IT and security experts as well as cloud architects.
The completion of the five modules on this course, as well as their associated tests, leads to qualification as a Certified Cloud Security Specialist. It’s better if you have any IT experience, and you can take the tests in order — for example, C90.01 must be taken before C90.02.
6. CompTIA Cloud Essentials+ and Cloud+
Though not security-specific, CompTIA provides two certifications that address cloud security topics. Cloud Essentials+ focuses on cloud business decisions, while Cloud+ focuses on operational cloud deployment.
Cloud Essentials+ is an entry-level credential that includes cloud protection issues and interventions, risk control, incident resolution, and enforcement. It is advised that you have six to one year of IT market analyst experience, as well as some cloud infrastructure experience.
Additionally, the Cloud+ credential goes into more detail on how to enforce effective security measures and troubleshoot security problems in the cloud. It is recommended that you have two or three years of system management experience.
7. EXIN Certified Integrator Secure Cloud Services
Many security and cloud courses are accessible via EXIN. When basic cloud computing and security qualifications are met, it awards the Certified Integrator Secure Cloud Services credential. Obtaining three EXIN or CCC certifications is one of them.
Although this credential isn’t just about cloud protection, it does guarantee that the certified specialist is knowledgeable in both IT security and cloud environments.
Cloud compliance certifications unique to vendors. Since many companies deal with a small range of suppliers and innovations, obtaining certifications in those fields may be helpful to their compliance departments. Any cloud technology vendors have hands-on product experience.
