Truly speaking, it really seems that all of us using a computer spends a lot of time acquiring data (both offline and online) and then trying to find a way to store it in safe place where we can access it anything we want.
Ordinarily for most computer owners like myself, locating sufficient storage space to accommodate all the data I’ve acquired is a real task. Majorly, some people invest in larger hard drives (like when I was still schooling). While some other set of individual prefer external storage devices like thumb drives or compact discs that they can carry around. There are some cases where desperate computer owners might completely delete entire folders worth of old files in order to make space for new information. Meanwhile, some set of people are opting to rely on a growing trend: online cloud storage.

As can be seen above, although cloud storage sounds as if it has something to do with weather fronts and storm systems, it actually talk about saving data to an off-site storage system preserved, managed, maintained, operated and backed up by a third party. You have to make a choice; instead of storing information and data to your local computer’s hard drive or other local storage hardware, you can simply save it to a safe remote database. In essence, the Internet provides the connection point between your computer and the database for users to access their data.
All things considered carefully, cloud storage has several advantages and disadvantages over the old traditional data storage mechanism. Take for instance, if you store your data on a cloud storage system, you’ll be able to get to that data from anytime you want it and from any preferred location that has Internet access. On the surface, you wouldn’t need to carry around a physical storage device or use the same computer to save and access/recover your data. Depending on the storage provider you choose and with the right storage system, you could even allow other people to access the data, turning a personal task into a collective effort.
