Job Description
NB Civils company are seeking a Truck Driver to join their deliver team! The driver will completely be responsible for safely operating a truck. This truck has a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Apply on SmartRecruiters.
Responsibilities of Truck Driver:
- You are to safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
- Know how to load and unload cargo
- Carefully track and document activity log and properly
- Swiftly report any issues or road incidents to dispatch
- Knowledgable to correctly inspect truck before and after trip
- Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately
- Religiously comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules
- Quickly file a report on vehicle defects, accidents or violations
- Lastly, other tasks as assigned by leadership
Qualifications of Truck Driver
- Proofs of previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
- A very clean DMV and criminal record
- Driver’s license without previous suspension
- Driver must have the ability to handle physical workload
- He must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. up to shoulder level
- Ability work a winch and other equipment related to the tractor, tanks and boxes
- Strong work ethic

Truck Driver Role:
Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers. Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
Other Duties:

- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
